Gods & Monsters
Submission Portfolio
I would like to submit for your consideration my piece titled Hel’s Gaze to the 2025 Gods & Monsters exhibition.
Hel’s Gaze explores my fascination with myth and mortality. Inspired by the Norse goddess Hel, this piece reflects on how cultures personify death and the underworld — not only as fearsome but as quietly powerful. By stepping beyond my usual Greek mythology muses, I wanted to challenge myself to find the beauty and humanity in what we often see as monstrous. This portrait is part of my ongoing journey to paint the divine and the dark, and the fragile line that connects them.
Collection of Past Work
While I would like to submit Hel’s Gaze (above), I have also included some of my past work below that I feel best reflects or relates to the theme. If you would like to see more examples of my full body work, please select the “work” tab in the navigation menu.
